NEW PARKING LOT
Construction is Ongoing
We have kicked of a new parking lot construction project. Below are some details about this project and the benefits it will bring to all of us.
The prophet (saw) said, "Whosoever shares in building a masjid for Allah, even if it is as small as a bird's nest, Allah (S.W.T.) will build for him a house in Paradise." Please take part in this masjid expansion and donate as much as you can by clicking below.
THE PROBLEM
As much as we like our masjid and as grand as it is, the parking situation is not that ideal. During Jummah, Ramadan, and Eids, the parking situation is very bad.
We need more parking spots so that no one has the excuse to park on the street. This is really important to show our care for our neighbors and not to cause them any inconvenience.
Furthermore, we currently have only one gate to enter and exit this large facility. This creates a significant traffic bottleneck before and after jummah (or at other large prayer timings such as taraweeh and Eid).
THE SOLUTION
MAS Katy Center has started construction of a new 200-space parking lot. This parking lot connects with our masjid and opens up on Baker Road (area shown in photo above).
With this construction, not only will we get more parking spots, we will get two additional entry and exit points to the masjid. Imagine having three gates to enter and exit the masjid!
InshaAllah this project will remove the delays we currently face after jummah prayers and will take care of the parking needs for many years to come.
THE COST
To complete the construction we need $400,000. As a dedicated member of the MAS Katy community, we are relying on your support to raise these funds, inshaAllah. Each parking spot costs around $2000 dollars. How many parking spots can you donate?
The prophet (saw) said, "Whoever builds a mosque, Allah will build for him something like it in Paradise." Please donate whatever amount you can. InshaAllah, you will get the reward of anyone parking there to attend prayers, jummah, etc. InshaAllah you will continue to gain reward for the good acts to these people, even when you may have moved on.
