MAS Katy Center in partnership with El-Peace Corner is bringing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to the community this summer of 2022.

⁃ El-Peace Corner jiu-jitsu & self defense

Mohammed Sultan

A Muslim Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under Ulpiano Malachias of Gracie Barra westchase. Started training the art for self defense purposes in 2011 along with wrestling and Muay Thai. Earned his degree in environmental science and Geology in 2013. Yet, the love for the martial art disciplines grew more in him once the degree was accomplished, and a decision to being an ambassador of the bjj discipline became a life goal. Started as an assistant to his professor from 2013 until 2016. Then a head instructor for the kids program at Gracie Barra Katy from 2016 until 2020. Moved to Dallas in may of 2020 to be the head instructor of an academy just to gain enough experience to bring back to Houston with a vision of passing knowledge on mats he would feel most purposeful in. Have been teaching off of his garage “el-peace garage” private and small group classes with a vision of “el-peace corner” coming to life in a place near you God willing. 

⁃ Kimonos (Gis) must be specifically for jiujitsu. Fuji is one of the good quality with good prices. Individuals are free to get what they want as long as they are white Gis. 

⁃ 3 classes a week project for kids and adults, valued as $120 monthly. Daily classes will be offered as el-peace corner grows in a near future. 

⁃ Dedication and eagerness to learning, growing, working hard is a requirement. No excuses is an extremely important rule.

⁃ 4 groups: kids 3-6 years old (little champions 1) / 7-14 (LCH 2 Boys) / 7-14 (LCH 2 Girls) & Adults. 

⁃ Times: Monday and Wednesday : 4:00 to 5:00pm (LCH 1) , 4:00 to 5:00pm (LCH 2G),  5:30 to 6:30pm (LCH2B), 7:00 to 8:00pm adults.

⁃ Times: Saturday: 10:30 to 11:30am (LCH 1) , 10:30 to 11:30am  (LCH 2G),  11:30 am to 12:30pm (LCH2B), 12:30 to 1:30pm adults.
